FAQ
What is Halo?
Halo is a standalone, camera-free fall detector that goes on a wall or ceiling. It uses radar to detect possible falls and alert your family through the app. Your parent does not need to wear it or press a button for fall detection.
When can I get Halo?
Halo is coming soon. Join the email list to hear when it launches. Pricing and availability will be shared closer to launch.
Notify me about HaloDoes Halo have a camera or microphone?
No. Halo uses radar to sense movement. It does not take photos, record video, or listen to conversations. It also works in the dark.
How many Halos do I need?
Start with one for each room you want to cover. Large or L-shaped rooms may need more. One Halo can cover up to 204 sq ft from a 9.8 ft ceiling, or 129 sq ft from a wall at 5.2 ft. Lower ceilings, walls, and furniture can reduce coverage. Your parent’s whole body needs to be inside the area you set up.
What do I need to install it?
You need 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and a suitable spot on a wall or ceiling. A 5 GHz-only network will not work. Halo’s power system is still being finalized. We’ll share final power and installation requirements before shipment. Ask us if you need help choosing a spot.
Can I put Halo in a bathroom?
Yes, in a dry spot on the wall or ceiling with a clear view of the floor. Keep it away from direct water spray and places where moisture collects on it. Before putting it above or near a shower, ask support@rhem.ai to check the location.
What happens if Halo detects a fall?
It sends an alert to the Rhem family app so your chosen contacts can check in or arrange help. Alerts need power, internet, and phone notifications turned on. Someone must be able to respond. Halo can miss a fall or send a false alert, so it should not be your only way to get help.
Will alerts work if the power or Wi-Fi goes out?
Remote alerts need power, internet, and phone notifications turned on. An outage can stop them. Keep another way for your parent to call for help.
Is there a monthly fee for fall alerts?
We’ll share pricing and service details before launch. Join the email list to get the announcement.
Does Halo call emergency services?
Halo alerts your chosen family contacts. It does not call 911, send an ambulance, or connect to a professional monitoring team. Alerts may be missed or delayed, so keep another way to get help. Call emergency services directly in an emergency.
How do I get help from a person?
For product questions or setup help, email support@rhem.ai. For an order, return, or warranty problem, email service@rhem.ai and include your order number if you have it.
Contact usHalo provides fall awareness and family alerts. It is not a medical device or an emergency response service. Detection and notifications can be missed or delayed; keep another way to get help.
